September 10 – the official list of global university ranking was released. KFU is the only university from the Volga Region and one of the 18 Russian universities in this list.

In 2013, 18 Russian universities including 4 federal universities are enumerated among the top 800 global higher educational institutions. This year Kazan Federal University takes the position 601-650 with improving the last year indicator – 663. Considering the increasing competitiveness, universities should make every effort for staying at the same level, so even the slight positive dynamics is a worthy achievement on the way to 100 TOP universities according to QS rankings.
