Two weeks left before our university welcomes the new generation of students. Names of 1-year students receiving governmental scholarship are already known. There will be more than 4000 students.
Real intensity of emotions fell on the days of issuing orders of enrollment for students receiving governmental scholarships: July, 30; August, 5; August, 10. The final order contained 4100 names.
According to the summary data the total amount of applications submitted to KFU was 72061 from 24357 physical entities. Overall competition reached 12 persons per one place because anyone could submit up to 3 applications in one university. Drawing a parallel with the previous year we can state visible increase in number of applicants (in 2012 21000 physical entities submitted applications).
Currently we can also mention the positive dynamics in average grade of the State Unified Exam. Previous year the average grade of KFU applicants was 71,3 and this year grade increased up to 80,51. High level of the university applicants can be also evidenced by the number of school leavers with diplomas of merits and finalists of various competitions. The amount of such applicants is more than 28% of the total number.
Kazan Federal University was attractive for applicants from 70 Russian regions. Among them are students from Bashkiriya, Samarskiy region, Orenburgskiy region and others.
Scope of activities of the admission office included not only documents reception but constant informing applicants and their parents. This work employed 150 secretaries from the KFU institutes and faculties, 12 students volunteers worked in call-centre. Moreover, some employees were doing correspondence and downloading information on admission in social networks. This year admission process was very transparent with the help of internet support.
