On July 17, 2025, students of Software Engineering program finished the course "Fundamentals of Universal Robot UR3/UR5 Control" as part of their summer internship at the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS). Maksim Mustafin taught students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU). Bachelor's and master's students studied the fundamentals of controlling and programming UR3e and UR5e robots (Universal Robots), and completed practical tasks.
"I really liked that the training was structured with an emphasis on practice," shared first-year master's student Kseniya Spiridonova, "After covering the necessary theory, we immediately moved on to working with the robot—this allowed us to quickly grasp the control principles and immediately apply our knowledge in practice, before we completely forgot everything. The practice was organized so that each participant had the opportunity to try their hand at controlling a robot, and working in a team also allowed us to improve our communication skills."
