Head of LIRS has joined editorial board of international journal JCWR

Evgeni Magid, Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) and Head of the Intelligent Robotics Department of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU), has joined the editorial board of the Journal of Climbing and Walking Robots (JCWR).

Journal of Climbing and Walking Robots is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality research on the theory, design, and development of all types of robots, with a focus on climbing and walking robots and related support technologies. JCWR was created in collaboration with the CLAWAR association. The association's goals are to support initiatives in robot and mobile machine technology development, standardize robots for the market, and disseminate information about robotics.

In 2020 and 2021, LIRS members participated in the International Conference Series on Climbing and Walking Robots, organized by the CLAWAR Association. At the conference, the members presented the following papers: Automatic Generation of Random Step Environment Models for Gazebo Simulator (authors: Gabdrahmanov R., Tsoy T., Bai Y., Svinin M., Magid E.), RFID-based Warehouse Management System Prototyping Using a Heterogeneous Team of Robots (authors: Khazetdinov A., Aleksandrov A., Zakiev A., Magid E., Hsia K.-H.), Comparative analysis of ROS-based centralized methods for conducting collaborative monocular visual SLAM using a pair of UAVs (authors: Abbyasov B., Lavrenov R., Zakiev A., Tsoy T., Magid, E., Svinin M., Martinez-Garcia E.A.).
