Ildar Giniyatullin, a 5-year student of KFU Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Restorative Medicine won the Universiade gold medal in belt wrestling (classical style) in the weight category up to 70 kg.

In finals Ildar Giniyatullin beat Agamyrat Orazsahedov from Turkmenistan.The bronze medals are won by Mihail Cosnicean, Moldova and Konstantin Tarasov, Ukraine.
