The first graduation of social care teachers was held in the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. These specialists were trained to overcome problems connected with inadequate and deviant behavior; disadaptation of children and adolescents in social environment; family ill-being; violation of children rights and child abuse; problems connected with conflicts and moral-psychological environment in schools, with maintenance of psychological health of children, parents, teachers and administration. Training specialists to realize programs of social and pedagogical support is one of the main priorities of the state social policy of the Russian Federation.
