Today, on June 13, 2013, courses of a joint program on master teacher training offered by the Ministry of Education and Science of the RT and Singapore company Educare were launched on the basis of Kazan Federal University.
“These are master classes for so-called master teachers who were selected on the basis of refresher courses results in the previous year. During the preceding year we attended their lessons, checked how they were using what they had learnt, and according to the results of these practical observations we selected those who would hand down the new technique to other teacher groups,” explained Mr. Timirkhan Alishev, the Head of Professional Education Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RT, the quint essence of what was going on.
So, 56 selected trainees are teachers of Kazan-city schools, teacher training colleges of Kazan, Bugulma, Nizhnekamsk, Tetyushi, Naberezhnye Chelny, the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology and KFU Branch in Elabuga. The training will be held till the 25th of June. There has been a special program developed for the trainees. “The technique is very interesting and efficient, it doesn’t resemble usual refresher training,” commented Mr. Timerkhan Alishev. “These courses absorbed all the best from domestic and international pedagogy. Training will be held in a lively and interesting manner!”
We made certain of truthfulness of these words from the very first minutes of the lesson. The seminar participants were not simply writing down methodological instructions after a lector, but also actively participated in the process.
Classes for trainees will be held not only by Singapore colleagues, but also by those very master teachers who have received training during the past two years (namely this term is the period within which the present project has been being implemented in our Republic). As journalists were assured by the Head of Professional Education Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RT, upon completion of these courses today’s trainees will become the same master teachers and learn how to practically implement what they have studied in practice and how to train their colleagues in it. This is the aim of these courses.
This July – August today’s trainees will work with specialists of information and methodology centres of municipal regions of the Republic, the latter, in their turn, will hand down this technique to school teachers of their regions. Thus, according to the organizers’ plans, 10000 teachers will master basics of the new technique this year. And within the next three years it is planned to engage up to 30000 teachers in this training, and in such a way a modern Singapore technique will reach practically each teacher of our Republic.
