On May 21-22 I participated in the international scientific conference Languages and Literature of Eastern Slavs in the aspect of historical evolvement which was held in Zielona Góra, Poland.

This conference is held twice a year. This year conference was the 16^th where scholars discussed problems of Linguistics and Literary Studies in contrastive aspect and from the view of ties between Literary Studies and History of Culture.   

I was supervising the section of Literary Studies Historical and Cultural Aspect in Slavic Literature. Participants from Poland, Russia, Czech Republic and the Ukraine discussed wide range of topics. Traditionally vivid interest was paid to works by Marina Tsvetaeva and Anna Akhmatova. 

In conclusion I would like to say that participation in international conferences is always very valuable and useful.
