RAS Academician, Professor of University of Maryland Roald Sagdeev and Professor of University of Arizona Ildar Gabitov stay on a visit to Kazan.

The guests met with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on May, 30. The meeting was held at the House of the RT Government.  KFU  Rector Ilshat Gafurov, KFU President Myakzyum Salakhov and President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Ahmet Mazgarov attended the meeting, too.

The participants of the meeting discussed development of Russian science and issues of further cooperation.

In the afternoon the guests arrived in Kazan Federal University where they met with scientists from Institute of Physics: Renat Gaynutdinov, Sergey Kharintsev, Lenar Tagirov and Dmitry Tayurskiy.

The scientists will stay in Kazan until June, 4. The program of their stay includes visits of KFU institutes and faculties, meeting with KFU chemists and biologists in order to discuss possible ways of cooperation.
