On February 10, 2024, RoboSabantui, a children's festival of robotics in the Volga region, was held, where the first director of the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU) Airat Khasyanov, Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotics Systems (LIRS) Evgeni Magid and LIRS member Elvira Chebotareva were invited. The V Children's Festival dedicated to the Year of Family and the Year of Scientific and Technical Development was opened by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko and Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Competition platforms, where master classes and lectures were held, and as 6 tournaments in different directions were organized on the festival. The aim of the festival is the popularization of science and technical creativity among children and schoolchildren, as well as to encourage the interest in robotics and information technology.

Elvira Chebotareva and Airat Khasyanov took part at the robotics tournament in the category "Junior Creative Projects" as judges. Prof. Evgeni Magid gave a lecture for children and their parents. He was awarded an appreciation letter for fruitful cooperation and assistance in organization of the Volga Region Children's Robotics Festival.
