On January 12, 2024, the winners of the Russian President's grant for the 2023/2024 academic year were announced. 17 students of Kazan Federal University demonstrated outstanding abilities and showed high achievements in different areas of activity. One of them was Aidar Zagirov, a 1st year master's student of the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) and an employee of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotics Systems (LIRS).

“The grant was awarded in the direction of "Science and Achievements" for publications in scientific international editions indexed in international databases. The publications were written within the framework of preparation of my graduate qualification work "Creation of a human model based on a bipedal walking robot AR601M in Gazebo simulator" in the bachelor's program of ITIS,” - said Aidar. – “After completing my master's degree, I aim to continue my career in robotics.”

Grants from the President of the Russian Federation are awarded in the amount of 20,000 rubles per month during the established period of study, subject to annual confirmation of eligibility.
