On December 20, 2023, the annual KFU Student of the Year award ceremony was held. Students and teachers who showed high achievements in various fields were awarded in the Imperial Hall.

The year 2023 was declared the Year of the Teacher and Mentor. The mission of the year was to recognize the special status of teachers, including those who perform mentoring activities. In addition to awarding the best students, the ceremony honored the best teacher-tutors and teacher-mentors. Evgeni Magid, the professor of the Department of Intelligent Robotics at the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU), was honored as one of the best mentor teachers.

During this time my undergraduate and graduate students have shown remarkable results in their studies and in science, prepared many good scientific publications, received a number of awards, grants and scholarships, actively participate in scientific and applied projects. I am proud of my graduates and the fact that the quality of education at ITIS attracts the most talented students from Russia and around the world, and our graduates are highly valued by employers” – commented Evgeni Magid.
