On October 18, 2023, the event "RSUH Student Science Days - 2023" was arranged in the Russian State University for the Humanities. The Interuniversity Round Table "Issues of Building Behavioral Strategies for UAV Groups" was organized by Anna Klimenko, Associate Professor at the Department of Fundamental and Applied Mathematics of the Institute of Information Sciences and Security Technologies of RSUH. Graduate students Alexandra Dobrokvashina and Ramil Faizullin, studying under the guidance of Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotics Systems (LIRS) of the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU) Evgeni Magid, participated in the roundtable discussion and made presentations.
Undergraduate and graduate students from different universities participated in the discussion, and their reports were on various UAV topics. “The event was interesting and informative,” said Alexandra, “for example, it was about both controlling single and groups of UAVs, and algorithms for detecting objects during flight. My report was devoted to the review and classification of existing graphical interfaces for controlling drones”.
The LIRS member added that her research will help people who want to get involved in controlling unmanned systems using graphical interfaces. The report was the result of the initial phase of Alexandra's Candidate’s thesis.
