Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems members took part in International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Robotics 2022

The ICR 2022 (International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Robotics 2022) has been attracting researchers in the field of human-robot interaction and social and collaborative robotics for the seventh year in a row. This time the conference was held from 17 to 18 of December 2022 in Fuzhou, China.

Members of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) (Kazan Federal University) made presentations remotely.

The main speakers on the scientific research results under Evgeni Magid’s guidance were LIRS members, Bachelor’s student Liaisan Safarova and Master’s student Artem Apurin.

Evgeni Magid also was a member of the conference program committee and a head of section 2.

The topics of the submitted articles:

“Comparison of Monocular ROS-based Visual SLAM Methods”. Authors: Professor Evgeni Magid, Teaching Assistant Tatyana Tsoy, LIRS members Liaisan Safarova and Bulat Abbyasov and Professor Hongbing Li (Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai).

“LIRS-Artbul: Design, Modelling and Construction of an Omnidirectional Chassis for a Modular Multipurpose Robotic Platform”. Authors: Artem Apurin, Liaisan Safarova, Teaching Assistant Alexandra Dobrokvashina, postgraduate Bulat Abbyasov, Teaching Assistant Tatyana Tsoy, Professor Edgar Martinez-Garcia (Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico) and Professor Evgeni Magid.

The research was done in collaboration with the leading foreign scientists in the field of robotics of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez.

The study was supported by the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan according to the research project No. 22-21-20033.
