On April, 26 meeting on state support for engineering regional centres was held in Kazan Federal University. Deputy Minister of Finances of Russian Federation Andrey Ivanov, Director of the Department on development of small and medium business of the Ministry of economic development of Russian Federation Nataliya Larionova, Executive Director of the Association of innovative Russian regions Ivan Bortnik, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, KFU Rector Ilshat Gafurov and representatives of various business organizations participated in the meeting.
It is known that federal authorities pay special attention to the development of engineering. In this sphere our University has exploited various projects. Before the meeting guests were demonstrated developments ready for scaling, in particular, new catalysts for petrochemical and oil refining industry, downhole device of nuclear magnetic logging with increased depth of research (ЯМК-1), KFU joint projects with KamAZ, Tatneft, TNG-Group and facilities of the University small innovative enterprises.
Ilshat Gafurov proposed to form Regional Engineering Centre for small and medium business, that will provide a full set of services for designing and implementing ready samples of innovative developments in different spheres: from medical industry up to automobile industry, petrochemistry and oil refining.
