On April, 25 was held the 8th Kazan Venture Fair. Traditionally events that lead to growth of innovative projects in Kazan take place during it. Participants of the 8th fair were reps of Russian and foreign Venture Funds, private investors and big corporations.
On the plenary session: “Forming of common market if innovations: the USA, Europe and Russia. Global trends of venture industry” participated President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov. This year the 3rd Russian Tour of Technologies took place in the framework of Kazan Venture Fair.
More than innovative 60 projects from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Cheboksary, Irkutsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg and the USA were presented on Fair. Kazan Federal University represented 14 projects.
For Kazan Federal University the 8th Kazan Venture Fair was remarkable not only due to projects presentation, but also due to signing contracts with new partners. Rector, Mr. Ilshat Gafurov, and Head of the “Agilent Technologies” Company`s Russian Branch, Ms. Galina Smirnova, signed Agreement for Cooperation. According to it KFU and Agilent Technologies will be strategic partners in the framework of joint educational programs in the sphere of radio electronic systems for various purposes.
Another signed document was an agreement for cooperation between Kazan Federal University, OOO “Biopharmaceutical investments RVK” and OOO “Techkraud”. Collaboration between sides is expected in the form of joint meetings, consultations, seminars and sessions.
Fair is traditionally full of various events during which participants will be able to share practical experience in the sphere of direct investment and venture capital, to discuss common problems and vital issues, to define effective strategy of development of the companies, to lay the foundation for future development of business.

Organizers of the Fair are the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Association of Direct and Venture Investment.
