'Forum Russia 2013': Country`s Perspectives On The Economic Arena

KFU Rector, Mr. Ilshat Gafurov, and Vice-Rector for Economic and Strategic Development, Mr. Marat Safiullin, participated in the business forum “Forum Russia 2013”.

For information: “Forum Russia” takes place annually in Moscow. This is one of the most important economic events of the year which gathers leading international investors, Russian and foreign independent experts, political leaders and company exe­cutives. Economic, financial and political issues important for Russia and the world are discussed there.

Among speakers of this year are ex-prime minister of Great Britain Tony Blair; First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov; CEO of Russia`s Sberbank German Gref; Professor, Deputy Chairman of Councils of Ministers , Minister of Poland (1989–1991, 1997–2000), Chairman of the National Bank of Poland (2001–2007)  Leszek Balcerowicz and others.

Along with panel sessions and thematic conferences face- to-face meetings of companies with investors take place In the framework of “Forum Russia”.

In the release of organizers was mentioned that according to the current macroeconomic situation Russia, having overcome crises of two last decades, coped with them and became even stronger and developed, economy growth was resumed, the gross domestic product size exceeded pre-crisis level. The public debt in relation to gross domestic product in Russia is still one of the lowest in the world, but according to the capacity of gold and foreign exchange reserves country is one of the five leaders. Russia remains the main beneficiary from high prices on oil. The market tendency of increase of fair value of the Russian shares through decrease in an award for risk. Nevertheless, in 2012 delay of annual growth of gross domestic product was observed that, first of all, it is connected with inflation acceleration.
