Henri Poincare Program scholarship winners congratulated at KFU

On April, 2 French delegation headed by the Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of France to Russia Jean de Gliniasty. Guests accompanied by KFU Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Deputy Minister Education and Science of Tatarstan Republic Andrey Pominov had a meeting with Henri Poincare Program scholarship winners.

Agreement on joint scholarship program “Henri Poincare” was signed in June, 2012. According to the  program more than 30 scholarships per year will be jointly funded for students of Tatarstan Republic. On March, 28, 2013 names of the first winners were announced. The winners became 8 students, 6 of them are from Kazan University, they are: Timur Gimadiev, Dinara Chubukaeva, Zulfiya Gizatullina, Sergey Usmanov, Olga Obraztsova and Dariya Melnik. They will be able to study in France for one within Master`s Courses.

University administration and guests congratulated the winners. Ilshat Gafurov mentioned aspects of cooperation which is being established between our Republic and France. As he said, educational and research components of cooperation were defined as the most important during the meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with Mr. Ambassador.

 Jean de Gliniasty underlined that establishment of Henri Poincare Program and appointment of its first winners would allow to strengthen ties between Tatarstan and France. Moreover, he promised that for students this will be a very interesting and fruitful experience. Andrey Pominov expressed hope that the first winners will properly represent our country and republic in France.

 Students thanked the Republic and University Administration for given opportunity of studying abroad, good conditions for learning French language and culture in our University.
