LIRS was visited by a representative of the University of Western Australia

On April 16 Paul Buist, a representative of University of Western Australia (UWA) and a manager on international cooperation visited the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems.

The Heads of laboratories Maxim Talanov (Laboratory of Neuromorphic Computing and Neurosimulations), Salvatore Distefano (International Research Laboratory of Social and Urban Computing) and Evgeni Magid (Laboratory of Intelligent Robotics Systems (LIRS)) ITIS told about their research projects.

Later the guest was given a tour of LIRS, where LIRS employees shown new robots produced in Russia and abroad, as well as the work of students of the laboratory. Paul Buist appreciated the potential of the Higher Institute of ITIS in the field of robotics and expressed his interest in joint cooperation in the field of science and education.

The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with scientific and educational potential of the Higher Institute of ITIS and discuss possible mutually beneficial collaboration.

The University of Western Australia is one of the largest in the country. It was founded in 1911. Today UWA is one of eight top universities in Australia. It has a reputation of international university and is recognized as one of the best in the field of scientific researches.

This is the first visit of UWA representatives to the Higher Institute of ITIS.
