LIRS made research reports on swarm robotics at the International Conference on Systems, Control and Information Engineers in Japan

From May 16 to May 18, 2018, Kyoto, Japan, hosts the 62nd Annual International Conference on Systems, Control and Information Engineers (SCI'18). The conference is attended by representatives of research organizations, engineers from industry and government organizations, an exhibition of modern manipulators and mobile robots is being held. The conference is an important platform for achieving success in the field of interdisciplinary technological developments.

Today, a Head of the Intelligent Robotics Department of the Higher Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS), Professor Evgeni Magid, made two reports on the following topics:

Swarm path planning in applications of area coverage”. Authors of the article: Artur Sagitov, Yuri Gerasimov, Evgeni Magid.

“Swarm challenges under onboard sensors limitations”. Authors of the article: Aufar Zakiev, Evgeni Magid.

In February of this year, Aufar Zakiev and Yuri Gerasimov, students of the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems (LIRS) and authors of the articles, took the II place at the Hackathon on the topic "Intelligent transport systems and situational centers", which was held at the Higher Institute of ITIS within the framework of the V International Scientific and Practical Conference - ITS Forum - Kazan "Modern problems of life safety: Intelligent transport systems and situational centers". Within the hackathon students implemented a project on swarm robotics, which was a starting point for the first results of their research presented at the conference. Students continue to work on these areas at the LIRS as part of the preparation of their master's thesis.
