Professor of the Intelligent Robotics Department Evgeni Magid became the chairman of the program committee of the VIII International Conference on Automation, Robotics and Applications

Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) (KFU), Evgeni Magid was invited to act as the one of the two chairmen of the program committee of the 8th International Conference on Automation, Robotics and Applications (ICARA 2022), which is scheduled for February 18-20, 2022 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Professor Hartmut Surmann (h-index 23, University Of Applied Sciences Gelsenkirchen (Westfälische Hochschule Gelsenkirchen, Germany) was elected the second chairman of the program committee. Professor Ramesh K. Agarwal (h-index 33, Washington University in St. Louis, USA) and Professor Xin-She Yang (h-index 67, Middlesex University, UK) serve as general chairpersons. The chairman of the conference advisory committee and keynote speaker of the 2022 conference is one of the most famous female robot technician, professor at the Royal Institute of Technology (Kungliga Tekniska högskolan, KTH Sweden), author of over 400 scientific publications Danica Kragic (h-index 47).

The ICARA Conference is an annual event dedicated to automation, robotics and applications. In 2022, the conference will be provided with forum scructure for researchers, scientists, engineers and practitioners and will allow participants to showcase the cutting-edge findings, ideas, developments and applications in all areas of automation, robotics and sensors. The ICARA 2022 Conference will feature essential speeches by prominent scientists, as well as plenary, special and regular sessions. An expert assessment of all works will be carried out in a double-blind mode, and the acceptance of scientific articles will be based on their quality, originality and relevance.

Proceedings of the conference have been operatively indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases since 2011. The materials of the ICARA 2021 conference have been indexed in the IEEE Xplore system within 1 month after the end of the conference, and in the scientific citation systems Scopus and Web of Science - within 3 months.

LIRS invites employees, students and postgraduates of KFU to take part in the conference. Submission of articles up to 5 pages for reviewing is carried out through the Easychair system until 1st September, 2021, the notification to the authors about the acceptance — till 1st October, 2021.
