Study of the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems on the response to the COVID-19 pandemic

In 2020, due to the epidemiological situation in the world, employees of the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems (LIRS) of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) (KFU), co-authored with Professor, Doctor of Biological Sciences, PhD, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, specialist in regenerative medicine, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, virology, oncoimmunology A. Rizvanov, prepared an paper on the following topic:

"Automating pandemic mitigation". Authors: A. Zakiev, T. Tsoy, R. Lavrenov, A. Rizvanov.

In September 2020, the article was published in the journal "Advanced Robotics" (Q2, indexing in the Scopus database).

The study provides an overview of existing robotic solutions that can be used in the fight against the pandemic, as well as a systematic description of the desired properties of robots based on the specific application area and target users. The authors propose a new-generation infectious diseases hospital structure that combines existing robotic tools to mitigate the effects of the pandemic, and discuss the ethical aspects of their use within this structure.

Due to the high relevance of this topic, the paper announcements were posted on the following web-sites:
