University welcomes 2nd International Forum on Mathematical Education

Over 180 contributors registered for the event scheduled for March 23 – 28.

The inaugural iteration took place in 2017.

This forum comprises five sub-events:

10th International Conference on Mathematical Education in Schools and Universities (MATHEDU-2021);

International Conference on IT in Education and Science;

International Seminar on Digital Technologies for Teaching and Learning;

Youth Conference on the Future of Mathematical Education;

10th Republican Seminar of Mathematics Teachers.

On behalf of the university executives, the participants were greeted by Vice-Rector for Education Dmitry Tayursky during the opening remarks on the morning of March 23.

He was followed by Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics Yekaterina Turilova, who said, “If we and our students drown in this world of technology without grasping the essence, there will be no one to shape this technology in 20 years. I think that we must speak about this responsibility during the forum on mathematical education. I am convinced that the balance will be found.”

The forum also includes roundtables and master classes, among which are 3D Modeling and Printing, Create Your Own Robot, Modeling of Intelligent Systems, and others.

Among the participants of the event are educators and scholars from Russia, USA, Republic of Korea, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Estonia.
