The meeting took place at KFU on March 19.

Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Director Aleksey Maslov signed the document to promote collaborations in research and education.

They were joined by Director of the Institute of International Relations of KFU Ramil Khayrutdinov and Chairman of the UNESCO Partner Department of Oriental Studies and African Studies of Moscow State University Dilyara Solodovnik.

The sides discussed future projects, among which is a planned lab of contemporary Oriental studies and a professional association of Oriental studies educators, as well as joint master programs and publications.
