1st International Conference on Russia-Korea Dialog was held by VSU last week.
Experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, United States, Japan, and South Korea contributed to the forum.
In her greeting, Rector of Volgograd University Alla Kalinina personally thanked Rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov for KFU’s help in conducting the event.
Vice-Rector of KFU for International Cooperation Timirkhan Alishev spoke about Korean language and Korean studies at our university.
Research Supervisor of KFU’s Center for Korean Studies Go Yeong-cheol invited everyone to further develop the network of Korean centers in Russia and to pay attention to research of Korean diaspora in Russia.
The panels featured many contributions in Russia-Korea ties, Korean identity in Russia, social and demographic dynamics of Koreans in Russia, and other topics.
