Details of admission to Preparatory School clarified during livestream

The meeting took place on March 11.

Head of International Admission Unit Rauf Sabirov spoke about this year’s admission process.

“It’s the second year in a row when we start admission on March 1. This is for international students who apply to self-funded programs,” he said. For those who apply under general rules for Russian citizens (some international students have such a right), the applications will only start on June 20.

This year, a new application form for Preparatory School has been designed. The applicants can now see their full process, including acceptance of application, contract signing, and fee payment.

As for those who want to compete for public-funded tuition, the submissions are made exclusively through Rossotrudnichestvo, a Russian government agency for international cooperation. In some countries, there is still time to apply.

Admission Unit can be contacted through admission@kpfu.ru and by phone at + 7 843 2337027. Please note that e-mails can take some time to answer because of significant workload.

As in 2020, this time exams will be held online for those who cannot arrive in persons because of travel restrictions. It’s very important to have a stable Internet connection.

Vice-Rector Timirkhan Alishev informed that the Preparatory School currently has about 800 students, which the highest ever number for Kazan Federal University. He also mentioned that the University is working on an online Russian language program for prospective students. It will be cheaper and less labor-intensive that the on-site program. The tentative unveiling of the online platform is scheduled for August 2021.

More information about admission is available on the Admission section of the website. You can also visit our Facebook group and ask a question there.
