This pertains only to the countries which opened direct flights with Russia.

The new requirement is to take two COVID-19 tests. The first one should be done not earlier than three days before arrival to Russia, and the second one is taken on the spot within three days after arrival. This means that students will be allowed to begin on-site studies after two negative tests are submitted. Test results can be submitted in Russian or English language.

Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Timirkhan Alishev noted, “This regulation doesn’t cover border opening, it only pertains to the procedure of allowing an individual to start on-site studies. We are ready to welcome all our students.”

At this moment, 10,500 international students from 101 countries are enrolled in KFU, and 25% of them are still staying at their home countries. Hopefully, more countries will open flights with Russia in the nearest months.

At this moment, air transit is open between Russia and the following nations: the United Kingdom, Tanzania, Turkey, Switzerland, Egypt, Maldives, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Korea, Cuba, Serbia, Japan, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Vietnam, India, Qatar, Finland, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.
