Kazan Federal University and Kazan Veterinary Academy establish Unified Center for Human and Animal Health

The agreement was signed on 26 December.

The agreement comprises financial, information, intellectual and material resources that the sides pledge for cooperation in healthcare, veterinary science, and agriculture.

Rector Gafurov noted that recent events have put special emphasis on the human-nature interactions. “If we don't want new pandemics, we have to unite doctors, scientists, and veterinarians to form a unified center for diagnostics and prevention of shared human-animal diseases and animal-borne human infections,” he opined.

Minister Zyabbarov added that this is also very pertinent for food production and safety. With that in mind, the agreement was signed under the Ministry's aegis.
