Employees and students of the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems presented papers at the XIII Международной конференции IEEE Developments in eSystems Engineering

The XIII International Conference on the Developments on eSystems Engineering (DeSE2020) is taking place online from 14 to 17 December, 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the recommendations of health authorities and the World Health Organization (WHO) on travel restrictions.

DeSE2020 will provide a leading forum for disseminating the latest results in eSystem Development, AI, Sensors, and Industry 4.0. Currently a high level of interest is being generated through the development of a wide end varied range of eSystems. There are many high profile projects, all around the world, seeking to transfer many services and facilities into state-of-the-art electronic technologies.

The Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems (LIRS) of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU) took part in the conference. Employees and students of LIRS presented 6 articles:

"Human-Following Cargo Robot TIAGo Base: The Study of User Interaction Features». Authors: Elvira Chebotareva.

"Improved Model of Crawler Robot Servosila " Engineer" for Simulation in ROS/Gazebo». Authors: Alexandra Dobrokvashina, Roman Lavrenov, Edgar A. Martinez-Garcia, Yang Bay.

"Facilitating a Preparatory Stage of Real-World Experiments in a Humanoid Robot Assisted English Language Teaching Using Gazebo Simulator". Authors: Liliya Gavrilova, Arina Kotik, Tatyana Tsoy, Edgar A. Martinez-Garcia, Mikhail Svinin, Evgeni Magid.

"Medical Palpation Autonomous Robotic System Modeling and Simulation in ROS/Gazebo". Authors: Artur Shafikov, Tatyana Tsoy, Roman Lavrenov, Evgeni Magid, Hongbing Li.

"Standard-Complaint Gazebo Warehouse Modeling and Validation". Authors: Artur Khazetdinov, Aufar Zakiev, Tatyana Tsoy, Roman Lavrenov, Kuo Hsien-Hsia.

Moreover, KFU jointly with the St. Petersburg Institute for Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPIIRAS) (Russia), Kyoto University (Japan), Mahidol University (Thailand), National Yunlin University of Science & Technology (Taiwan), Ritsumeikan University (Japan) and the V. A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences of Russian Academy of Sciences (ICS RAS) (Moscow, Russia) organized a section on Advanced Robotics, which is chaired by Professor Evgeni Magid. The section is aimed at bringing together specialists engaged in advanced research in various areas of robotics. Also in the committee of the section were: Professor Andrey Ronzhin (SPIIRAS), Professor Fumitoshi Matsuno (Kyoto University), Professor Jackrit Suthakorn (Mahidol University), Professor Kuo Hsien-Hsia (National Yunlin University of Science and Technology), Professor Mikhail Svinin (Ritsumeikan University), Professor Roman Meshcheryakov (ICS RAS).
