University projects are among 50 Best Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan in 2020

This year saw the 16th competition under this brand.

This year, the award ceremony included the following nominations: Innovation in Education, Innovation by Young People, Nano Impulse, Patent of the Year, Prospects, Scientific and Technological Innovation, Social Innovation, First Innovation, and Digital Economy.

Here are the winners from Kazan Federal University and their respective projects:

Kristina Kitaeva, Junior Research Associate, Gene and Cell Technologies Lab – Induced microvesicles for antitumor treatments;

Firdaws Aliev, Junior Research Associate, In-Situ Combustion Lab - Oxidation of hydrocarbon solvents for in-situ heat generation and organic acids to enhance oil recovery from carbonate reservoirs;

Vlada Kugurakova, Associate Professor, Department of Software Engineering – Web constructor for 3D online exhibitions;

Irina Starostina, Junior Research Associate, Gene and Cell Technologies Lab, and Vera Lezhnyova, Junior Research Associate, Gene and Cell Technologies Lab - Test systems for early diagnosis of the development of multiple sclerosis based on determining the level of gene expression of endogenous human retroviruses;

Zarema Gilazieva, Junior Research Associate, Gene and Cell Technologies Lab – Using decellularized matrices to create 3D models of tumors;

Leisan Tazetdinova, Junior Research Associate, Gene and Cell Technologies Lab – Methods of gene therapy of congenital lamellar ichthyosis;

Davran Sabirov, Junior Research Associate, Gene and Cell Technologies Lab – Methods for modulating microglial cells to stimulate neuroregeneration;

Aliya Garaeva, Teacher, Lobachevsky Lyceum – Literary Heritage as National Treasure.
