Professor of the University of California, Berkeley, visited the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems

On July 30, Leon Ong Chua, a famous Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, visited the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems (LIRS). Professor Chua put forth his theory of the memristor existence and made contributions to the nonlinear circuits theory and cellular neural network theory. He is also the inventor of the Chua’s circuit. His research projects are related to cellular neural network technologies, bifurcation theory and nonlinear dynamics.

A Head of the laboratory, Professor Evgeni Magid, presented to the guest the projects of employees and students with anthropomorphic robots ROBOTIS-OP2 and OP3, quadcopters, mobile robot PMB-2, Russian robot "Engineer" of Servosila company and robocar Unior, and also told about the master's program "Intelligent robotics", which was launched at the Higher Institute of ITIS in 2017. The guest highly assessed the laboratory’s potential and was deeply interested in the advanced research on robotics conducted by the laboratory team.
