Representatives of Kazan State Medical University visited the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems

On October 26 the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems (LIRS) of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) was visited by employees of the Simulation Methods of Training in Medicine Department professor of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU), Doctor of Medicine, a Head of the Department Sergey Bulatov; assistant, Candidate of Medicine Enge Harisova and a 5th-year bachelor degree student of KSMU Vitaly Dudin.

KSMU is a higher medical educational institution founded in 1814 by the decree of Emperor Alexander I. According to the results of the ARES-2014 rating of higher educational institutions, Kazan State Medical University ranked 33rd among all Russian universities; it is ranked 3rd among medical universities. Also it is ranked 2nd among higher educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the quality of students’ admission to the first year, KSMU ranks 21-28 among all universities of the Russian Federation and the 1st place among the universities of the Republic of Tatarstan (according to the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation together with the Higher School of Economics).

During the meeting LIRS employees told the guests about the ongoing projects in the laboratory related to the lab's robots. The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. The colleagues discussed possible collaboration in the fields of medicine and robotics. The guests highly appreciated the scientific potential of the laboratory and it’s modern equipment. It has been agreed to prepare joint scientific papers for presentation at international conferences in 2020 on multidisciplinary topics.
