Global changes in academia discussed at the Times Higher Education Digital Transformation Forum

The forum was co-hosted by Kazan Federal University.

The University was widely represented during the forum’s panels and sessions.

In particular, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Timirkhan Alishev moderated the panel on distance learning. Educators from Nigeria, Sweden, and Hong Kong shared their views on the trials and promises of this format. Dr. Alishev spoke about proctoring systems and online learning platforms.

Head of EcoOil Research Unit Mikhail Varfolomeev presented his outlook of the progress of the petroleum industry in the last decade with regards to digital tech.

Director of the Institute of IT Intelligent Systems Mikhail Abramsky touched on data management in learning and how KFU collects and uses data on student involvement and satisfaction.

Director of the Center for Precision and Regenerative Medicine Albert Rizvanov moderated the panel on innovation in online research. He and his colleagues discussed methodologies, resources and tools for data collection, text analysis and search management.

The forum attracted participants from 135 countries.
