Aufar Zakiev gave a talk in educational project series 'PRO Science'

An employee of the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems (LIRS) of the Higher Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) (KFU) Aufar Zakiev presented a lecture on search and rescue robotics in the framework of the project «PRO Science».

«PRO Science» is a series of science nights at Kazan Federal University aimed at promoting the activities of the University and popularizing science. This project provides an opportunity to become a student for one night and learn about life of a university from the inside, listen to popular science lectures from leading researchers from all Russia, see spectacular entertainment and meet like-minded thinkers.

Learning new information in the form of entertainment is one of the project’s features. Fundamental knowledge is presented in a simple and accessible form for the listener. Among the many educational formats, participants of the event can choose popular science lectures, experiments, master classes, business games and trainings, Science slam type fights, excursions to laboratories and museums.

Not only distinguished professors and teachers are at the event, but also talented young researchers, graduates and students of KFU. Aufar Zakiev presented a lecture on the topic: «Security of the future: how robots will save people». According to the audience, the speech touched on the important topics. For example, the issue of search and rescue and social robotics – analysis of rubbles. In addition, Aufar was in close interaction with the audience, the lecture was quite interactive and aroused genuine interest and lively discussion among the audience.
