Kazan University's Higher School of Business is among the top 70 in Europe

The news comes via QS Global MBA Rankings.

Overall, 258 universities from 40 countries were ranked. The ranked schools must have offline programs, groups of at least 15 persons, and international accreditations from such organizations as AACSB, AMBA, EFMD, and others.

The five assessment categories comprise employability, return on investment, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, thought leadership, and class and faculty diversity. In those, our Higher School of Business was ranked 122nd in the world (37th in Europe) in entrepreneurship and 170th in the world (55th in Europe) in return on investment.

With regards to subcategories, HSB performed highly in alumni entrepreneurs (100 of 100 points), payback speed (90.4 points), and percentage of faculty with PhD (49.6 points).

Speaking about the rankings, Vice-Rector for Strategic and Economic Development Marat Safiullin emphasizes, “Publication metrics are not important here. What’s important is where alumni are employed, what’s their remuneration and their development trajectories.” He adds that many educational innovations first appear in MBA programs and are then scaled to other educational courses.

Notably, Russian universities were not represented in previous iterations of this particular ranking.
