Kazan University students now have access to free vocational education

The authorities will also assist in further summer employment.

The available trades are steel fixer, concrete worker, bricklayer, plasterer, painter, bartender, waiter, pastry chef, cook, baker, maid, and security guard. The study courses are organized by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security of Tatarstan. 210 persons received certificates in 2019, and there are plans to significantly expand this program this year.

After entrance interviews, enrollees will receive instruction from October to December 2020. The classes will be held in evenings for two to three hours. After completing the course, students can be employed in various capacities in the summer of 2021.

“Free vocational education is really a great opportunity for students. After they complete their certification, the Student Squad Headquarters of Kazan Federal University can help them find appropriate work,” says Headquarters Coordinator Albina Mutkina.

Kazan Cooperative Trade School will be in charge of bartender, waiter, pastry chef, cook, baker, hotel maid and security guard programs. Construction trades will be studied elsewhere.
