Rector Ilshat Gafurov visited the school on 28^th June to conduct a work meeting.

As of now, the renovation is proceeding according to schedule, informed Director of Yelabuga Institute Yelena Merzon.

On 13^th – 14^th August 2020, Yelabuga Institute will be welcoming the August Meeting of Educational Workers, and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov plans to attend the University School during the event.

The refurbishment is set to be completed in early August, so that the school is fully ready to accept pupils on 1^st September, if indeed on-site studies are allowed by that point (since March, almost all educational institutions in Russia shifted to online education).

The University School, officially titled School N 5, retains its status as a district institution and will accept kids from the neighboring blocks. The remainder of seats will be distributed via competition.

The school is to become an experimental platform for innovative educational techniques and methodologies, as well as join the University’s multifaceted activities in pedagogical education.
