The Youth Day is celebrated in our country on 27^th June.

The outgoing academic year was marked by KFU’s 215^th anniversary. Among the biggest events organized by the Department of Youth Policy during the celebrations in November 2019 were Russian Chessball Championship, Student Knowledge Marathon, Mosaic of Peoples (a cultural fest for international students), and others. Over a thousand people partook in a grand gala concert to mark the 215^th anniversary.

During the events of the Student of the Year in Tatarstan competition, 64 representatives of KFU received awards, amounting to almost a half of all the winners. The Grand Prix of the contest went to our student Kamoliddin Bobokhonov.

University athletes were victorious in Russian National Student Sports Championships, won prizes in badminton, table tennis and other disciplines in Russian and Russia-Belarusian competitions.

Student unions were also very active during the year, holding many events in their sphere.

Overall, the academic year 2019/2020 at Kazan University saw over 500 events in arts, sports, community outreach and volunteering, uniting over 20,000 students.
