Kazan Federal University rises to position 370 in QS World University Rankings

It’s up 22 places from the previous year.

This time, 1,604 universities ended up in the rankings, and 28 from Russia are in the top 1,000. MIT, Stanford, and Harvard are the best three in the world this year.

As usual, Moscow State University is comfortably leading in Russia and is the only one in the top hundred from our country at 74th place.

KFU has scored 29.5 in this rankings, which is up from 28.5 last time. Positive dynamic has taken place in student/faculty ratio and the number of international students.

Speaking about global rankings, Vice-Rector for Economic and Strategic Development Marat Safiullin said that they help understand where science and education move and how the world changes.

“Our university has set an ambitious goal to become a generator of new knowledge. It must not adapt to the environment but change it and create new growth areas. This is our new strategy to be presented to our International Scientific Council this year,” he noted.

He hopes that this advancement causes positive changes in both quantity and quality of international enrolment.
