The History Museum was proclaimed number one in the Best University Museum nomination.

The competition, which was held for a first time, is co-organized by the Association of Museums of Tatarstan with support from the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan and National Museum of Tatarstan.

Over 80 applications were made from projects completed in 2017 – 2019. Apart from our History Museum, the other winners are Kazan Kremlin (Best State Museum), Apastovo Area Studies Museum (Best Municipal Museum), and Kachalov Drama Theater Museum (Best Corporate Museum).

Director of the KFU Museum Complex Svetlana Frolova noted, “Not only do we engage in exhibitions and multimedia presentations, but also organize a number of cultural and educational events. Starting in 2016, the History Museum and its subsidiaries – Lobachevsky Museum, Kazan Chemistry School Museum, and Zavoisky Museum Laboratory – have been holding performance tours, master classes, and quests. Some of these quests and games are Journey through the University Space, Expedition, and Museum Labyrinth. Lobachevsky Museum offers a course comprising museum tours, interactive exhibitions, quests, and trivia quizzes.”

The Museum of the Year award ceremony will be held later.
