Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Alexander Stepanov toured university facilities

He was a participant of an anti-corruption forum in Kazan on 12th March.

Accompanied by Rector Ilshat Gafurov, Mr. Stepanov first went to the University Clinic.

Chief Medical Officer Sergey Osipov told him about many advanced diagnostic and treatment methods that have been put into practice, such as X-ray, vascular and aesthetic surgery, neurology, somnology, and pain treatment. Much attention is paid to identifying the factors that contribute to the development of the disease. In other buildings, the Deputy Minister saw everyday proceedings of the Gynecology Ward and the Urology Center.

At the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology, the guest was told about the Medical Simulation and Accreditation Center and the virtual operating theater.

Later, the delegation came to the Institute of Psychology and Education. Director of the Institute Aydar Kalimullin spoke about the latest achievements in pedagogical studies and research. Model secondary school classrooms in physics and chemistry, a cinema room, and a teaching technology office were also shown.

Finally, at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication, Rector Gafurov presented multilingual pedagogy programs.

Alexander Stepanov commented, “What I've seen exceeded all my expectations. I have not seen anything like this at other federal universities. I especially liked the complex of interdisciplinary research and your focus on the final result, as well as the state of classrooms and equipment. It's already evening, and the classes are full. This indicates that life is in full swing here. It is evident that people do not intend to leave, they are more interested in being here than outside the university.”
