The awards were bestowed in Kazan City Hall on 11th March by Mayor Ilsur Metshin.

Apart from being a PhD student of Kazan Federal University, Anna Ikhsanova has been teaching Russian language and literature at School N 4 in Kazan for five years.

This year, she finished first among 78 competitors.

She confessed that this honor came as a total surprise, “The contest evaluated professionalism, erudition, and teaching skills. I was very surprised and elated to know about the victory. I am thankful to Kazan University for acquired knowledge. My colleagues rooted for me, for which I am very thankful.”

Ilkhsanova will soon represent Kazan at the Teacher of the Year in Tatarstan competition.
