30 December 2019
New Year Festival for International Students held at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication

The celebration took place on 27th December.

This year, freshmen joined the organizing efforts as well. Students read poems in Russian, performed Korean and Indonesian traditional dances, sang in Russian, English and Chinese languages, and showed a bit of Peking opera.

Chinese nationals, who constitute the majority of the international student body at the Institute of Philology, were elated to listen to performances in their native language. The audience often burst in thunderous applause, so much so that even passersby were tempted to peek inside the auditorium and join the fun.

Of course, trivia games and various other forms of entertainment were also present.

In conclusion, everyone received delicious gifts traditionally associated with the New Year.
