Kazan Federal University holds New Year celebrations for employees' kids

24th and 25th December are two days dedicated to those performances.

This year is the second in a row when students of the Institute of Psychology and Education put their efforts into performing plays for the children of KFU employees. Kids aged 1 – 12 are invited.

Bright costumes, inspired acting, a large New Year tree, and fancy decorations all serve to bring joy to little attendants.

Arseny Raff-Ganachevsky, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Preschool Education, has donned Father Frost’s (Russian version of Santa Claus) costume this year. “Kids and adults alike cannot live without fairy tales. And it’s imperative that parents should preserve that impression for children in their homes.”

Aygul Valiullina, who plays Snow Maiden (Father Frost’s granddaughter and companion), is especially elated when little spectators bring their own gifts to the celebration. “It’s so pleasant to receive a prepared sweet or a postcard from a toddler who extends her gratitude for the gifts and the holiday. I want to give kudos to their parents who taught children not just to receive, but also to give.”

Deputy Director of the Institute of Psychology and Education Lyaysan Rybakova says, “I wish everyone health and many sunny days in life. Let the New Year be a year of victories, achievements, fulfilled wishes and new prospects.”
