The trip to Jinan was held on 12^th – 16^th December.

Kazan University was represented by Assistant Lecturer of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language Regina Guzaerova. Other delegates were from Kazan National Research Technical University (KNRTU-KAI) and Kazan National Research Technological University (KNRTU-KICT).

On 14^th December, the Russian guests to Qilu University of Technology (QUT) in Jinan. QUT is a part of the Academy of Sciences of Shandong and has over 2,000 employees, over a thousand of whom hold PhD degrees. Negotiations were held with Head of International Cooperation Section of QUT Yang Hetong and institute directors. The sides discussed a comprehensive list of prospective cooperation areas.

On the same day, the Kazanian delegates proceeded to meet with over twenty principals of local secondary schools and present the opportunities provided by the three participating universities. A separate meeting was held with secondary education functionaries of the city of Wucheng County and Rendao Recruiting Company. The county plans to open a special preparatory training center for those who plan to enroll in Russian universities.

Finally, on 15^th December, a ceremony was conducted to celebrate the opening of the Center for Russian Language Training and Chinese-Russian Center for Cooperation in Education, Science and Technology. This was an important step in the development of bilateral ties and will boost local youngsters’ preparedness to move to study in Kazan.
