Ambassador of Indonesia Wahid Supriyadi seeks to expand opportunities for enrolment and cooperation

The Ambassador and his colleagues visited on 29th November.

They were welcomed by Vice-Rector Marat Safiullin and other KFU employees.

Dr. Safiullin presented Kazan University and spoke about the current affairs, including links with Indonesia.

Ambassador Supriyadi thanked everyone for the warm welcome and said that Indonesian students, whom he had met the day before, are very satisfied with their experience at Kazan University and their life in Kazan in general. He opined that there is definitely room for growth in enrolment from Indonesia and especially scientific cooperation. Among the things he mentioned was a steadily growing interest to Tatarstan among Indonesian tourists. The Ambassador also shared some stories of his work in Russia.

Dr. Supriyadi invited Kazan University representatives to join President of Russia Vladimir Putin on an upcoming visit to Indonesia. The trip is tentatively scheduled for February 2020.

After the talks, the guest gave a lecture on the current developments in Indonesian economy and politics. Later in the afternoon, a round of artistic performances representing Indonesian culture was held at KFU’s UNICS Cultural Center.
