Further development of the School was discussed on 25th November.
Before the agenda discussions started, Rector Ilshat Gafurov handed out invitation to the 215th anniversary dinner, slated for the eve of Tuesday, 26th November.
Firstly, a new member of the Advisory Board was introduced. The honor was bestowed upon a 2018 MBA alumnus, General Director of the Yoshkar Ola Meat Processing Factory, Ramil Nigmadzyanov.
After that, Director the Higher School of Business Alsu Akhmetshina said the School is expanding steadily – the 2019 enrolment is 136 persons.
“There is a whole list of measures. Despite being quite small, the Higher School of Business’s work is very noticeable within the University, and its diplomas are elite and sought after,” commented Rector Gafurov.
English courses are expected to be opened soon to attract clients from the global business community. There are capabilities to do so, including the necessary accreditations.
Member of the Advisory Board, Honorary Professor of KAIST Park Song-joo emphasized, “It’s imperative to think about the global market, global human resources, and global cooperation. We in South Korea don’t have much population, so we need to cooperate with other countries, and this strategy proved to be effective. We invite lecturers from all over the world. I think you should ponder the possibilities of international exchange, both teacher and student, and to select languages to hold classes in.”
International accreditations, cooperation with the authorities and business, and improvements in curricula were named among other important things for successful internationalization.
