Memorandum of understanding signed with Varna Free University

Rectors of the two universities Ilshat Gafurov and Krasimir Nedyalkov talked on 7th November.

Dr. Gafurov spoke about the University’s priorities and mentioned teacher education – KFU reached 94th place in THE Education rankings.

He also mentioned the 9,600 international students from 106 countries of the world. “However, we cannot boast a high number of students from your country,” he said to the guest.

Vice-Rector Linar Latypov then mentioned that KFU has cooperation ties with 3 Bulgarian universities – Tsenov Academy, New Bulgarian University, and University of Veliko Turnovo.

“I am impressed with what I’ve seen at KFU and its rich history. Our university has existed for 28 years. Our professors need to get acquainted in order to find issues to work on,” replied Krasimir Nedyalkov.

General Secretary of Varna Free University Galina Shamonina showed a presentation of her institution. It’s the largest private university in the nation with 10 thousand students.

“We arrived on a recommendation of the Russian World Foundation and Ambassador of Bulgaria in Russia Atanas Krystin. The Ambassador insisted on us visiting your university and arranging cooperation because he knows you and your capabilities well,” she shared before the signing.
