The cooperation agreement mentions popularization of the history of diplomacy and international relations, development of expert dialogue, recommendations for international cooperation, and foreign policy research. The sides will also contribute to creating a common humanities framework in the Union State of Russia and Belarus, Eurasian Economic Union, Commonwealth of Independent States, and other multilateral organization in Eurasia.

Aleksey Gromyko commented, “Creating the Gromyko Association coincided with the 110th anniversary of the birthday of Andrey Gromyko. The Association was established by the Institute of Europe (Russian Academy of Sciences), MGIMO University, and Association of Russian Diplomats. The organization tasks itself with expert support of integration in the post-Soviet area and Eurasia. It should be said that active cooperation had begun before the agreement was signed.”

On the same day, 11th October, he met with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to discuss research projects.

“During our meeting with Rustam Nurgalievich, we spoke about this project, this forum, and our plans to turn it into a large-scale expert platform – on par with the biggest analogues in Russia and in the world.  We noted that we are ready to develop research with Kazan Federal University. We have plenty of ideas about further cooperation growth,” resumed Gromyko.
