UK-Russia Genome Workshop 2019 wrapping up in Nottingham

The event takes up 16th – 18th September.

A British Council grant was won jointly by the University of Nottingham and Kazan Federal University. As a result, 23 participants from Russian received bursaries to travel to the UK.

On 16th September, the young scientists partook in the Annual Cancer Research Nottingham Symposium. They also visited Deep Seq, a sequencing center, and UoN’s data center.

The conference’s second and third days are dedicated to panel and poster sessions.

The workshop involves three expert mentors from KFU – Professor Andrey Kiyasov (Director of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology), Professor Albert Rizvanov (Head of Gene and Cell Technology Lab), and Head of Extreme Biology Lab Oleg Gusev.

European Society for Clinical Investigation is the official partner of the workshop.
